Supporter skydives from plane at 12,000ft for St Luke’s!
Bejul Parekh completes a thrilling skydive challenge in memory of his aunt, Hansa Shah to raise money for St Luke’s.
Imagine the adrenaline rush as you skydive from a plane at 12,000ft, heading towards the earth through clouds at 120mph before the parachute is deployed and you gently float down towards the fields. Bejul Parekh took on this challenge on Sunday 31 July to pay tribute to his late aunt, Hansa Shah who spent the last days of her life at St Luke’s.

Bejul says, ‘I wanted to do the skydive for two main reasons, one being to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice and secondly to go through the experience which I may not have the chance to do later in life. St Luke’s is very close to my heart. My auntie, Ms Hansa Shah spent the last couple of weeks of her life in St Luke’s Hospice. The staff were humble and really cared for her, making it the most comfortable and peaceful place for her before her passing. My family and I are very grateful for this. The skydive was awesome and I would definitely advise anyone to go and experience it.’

You can still support Bejul’s (pictured above on the left) fundraising efforts by donating on his JustGiving page, please visit www.justgiving.com/Bejul-Parekh.
If you would like to do a skydive for St Luke’s, entry is £50 and all skydivers must raise at least £400 through sponsorship.
