Bollywood extravaganza raises over £5000 for St Luke's
Bollywood singing sensation, Nalini Pattni and her daughter, singer songwriter Krupa Pattni, amazed the crowds at St Luke’s Bollywood concert on Saturday 20th November which took place at the Zoroastrian Centre.
Over £5000 was raised and over 300 people attended the show.
The evening started with a Ganesh welcome dance preformed by classical dance group, Encee arts as well as performances from the Ministry of Dhol and a mother and daughter duet to finish off the evening with a surprise guest from Miss Polly Rae, a burlesque act.

Nalini (right) and Krupa (left) says:
"Nalini & Krupa were very pleased with the turn out on the night. People had put on their glad rags in true Bollywood style ready to soak up the entertainment. The evening opened with an Introduction to the charity St Luke's followed by joyful performances from Encee Arts dancers and The Ministry of Dhol. The audience were captivated by Nalini's angelic voice and charming style leaving them wanting more. It all culminated in an enthralling finale between mother and daughter singing "Gore Gore" a Bollywood classic which featured a surprise appearance from burlesque star Miss Polly Rae (who wowed the crowd with her teasing feathers). Nalini and St Luke's would like to thank The Zoroastrian Centre and all the wonderful volunteers for giving 100% with a smile. All in all, we were over-whelmed by the magnificent support from the local community. St Luke's hospice plays an important role in our community and can continue to do so with all our help. Thank you to everyone who attended this charitable event and to those who made donations."
St Luke's would like to say a huge thank you to Nalini and Krupa and everyone performing at and supporting the concert.
