GSK donate their time to St Luke's

GSK volunteers helps St Luke's

Twenty staff members of GlaxoSmithKline R&D for Infectious Diseases (GSK) kindly volunteered their time to help re-decorate St Luke’s conference room and corridors. It was part of an Orange Day initiative which aims to make a difference in the community and to aid non-profit organisations.
The father of one of the GSK volunteers had been attending St Luke’s Day Care Unit for nearly four years and felt he had been wonderfully looked after by the charity. The Orange Day initiative was the ideal way of giving something back to an organisation who gives so much to the community and as a result GSK made St Luke’s their nominated charity. Everyone who took part in the day was delighted with the results of their efforts and they have really refreshed and brightened up St Luke’s walls. GSK has also kindly offered to donate some new garden furniture.

“St Luke’s provides a vital service to the community and as it is funded by charitable donations I fully supported the suggestion to volunteer our time there. St Luke’s were very helpful in making the Orange Day a success…The staff were friendly and very accommodating while we were there and I would quite happily volunteer at St. Luke’s again in the future. Their thanks is much appreciated!” GSK Volunteer.
