Peaches Bar Auction is a huge success

On Friday 8th October, Peaches Bar & Restaurant were in full swing and showed their support to St Luke’s by holding their Annual Charity Auction.

Peaches owner, Mr Patel began the annual campaign for St Luke’s after the death of his mother, who was cared for by St Luke's.

“The care my mother received was fantastic and we are so grateful to St Luke's for making the last few days with mum count. We shared some very special moments with her which, will always remain close to our heart thanks to St Luke's. Hospice care is a completely underfunded and little talked about service, yet any one of us, at any time, could find ourselves in need of that service. We never know when we, or someone we love, might need it. The care given by St. Luke's is invaluable, and is something that affects us all.”

Items auctioned on the night included a signed World cup 2010 England shirt, Spurs & Chelsea signed shirts, a Manchester United pendant, a TV , holiday tickets and many more.

The total amount raised for St Luke's was £1070 which included a very generous bid from Harrow Council Architect Bharat Patel. A big thank you to Bharat who bid a whopping £450 for England tickets on the night!
