St Luke’s unveil 13th charity shop
St Luke’s open 13th charity shop on Preston Road.
St Luke’s unveiled their 13th charity shop on 196 Preston Road, HA9 8PA on Thursday 14 July. Many people came along on the day to see St Luke’s Chairman, Mike Redhouse officially open the shop and to find many fabulous bargains.

St Luke’s Chairman, Mike Redhouse says, ‘At 10am precisely I cut the ribbon to open the latest St Luke’s shop on Preston Road. There was already a large crowd waiting outside who were eager to buy the bargains on sale. On the day, the shop was manned by new staff and volunteers who were assisted by people from our other shops and I would like to thank everyone who was involved in getting the shop ready. It is a very good site for us as there are not many other charity shops around and it is amid some supermarkets.
Our shops are such a vital part of our activities and not only do they deliver more than £600,000 in profit but they contribute to our local community by involving some 450 volunteers, taking goods from local people, and selling them in the community. The unique selling point of our organisation is that we are an integral part of Harrow and Brent. Everything we do is local from our shops to our patients and events.’
Our shops provide a vital source of income to support the free specialist end of life care provided by St Luke’s to the people of Harrow and Brent. For more information on where to donate or for collections, please visit our shops page.
