St Luke's are working with specialised travel providers Advocate Events on one of our most exciting events yet. This incredible ten day trip includes time in the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city of Cuzco and four full days trekking to altitudes of over 4,000 metres along one of the worlds most iconic and breathtaking trails to Machu Picchu.
We will be holding information sessions at the hospice on Thursday 23rd February and 9th March at 7pm and 8pm.

Fly from London to Lima Peru
Day 2 - 9th October 2017
A day at your leisure to absorb this magnificent South American capital city which is spectacularly located between the Pacific Ocean and The Andes mountains
Day 3 - 10th October 2017
Fly Lima to Cuzco
Two days to acclimatize in this magnificent UNESCO World heritage city, situated a staggering 3,400metres above sea level.
Day 4 - 11th October 2017 - Day in Cuzco to acclimatise
Day 5 - 12th October 2017
Pick up from our hotel - Drive for 3 hours to "Kilometre 82" Ayapata. We start our hike and end the day arriving at our first camp Ayapeta 3300 meters above sea level
Day 6 - 13th October 2017
Start Hike - Tough day ahead! We arrive "Dead Womans Pass" at 4215 metres. Lunch followed by more trekking before we arrive at our camp for the night "Chaquicocha" 3630 metres
Day 7 - 14th October 2017
Start Hike before we get to First pass "Runkuracay" 3941m Lunch. We then descend to Sayaqmarka before arriving at our final camp - Wiñaywayna
Day 8 - 15th October 2017 - Early start today!
We start our hike to Machu Picchu and get our first glimpse of Machu Picchu below us at Inti Punku. Here we will have leisure time on site to take in these breath-taking views. Our day ends with a celebratory evening in our Cuzco hotel!
Day 9 - 16th October 2017
10.00am - Fly back to London via Lima.
Day 10 - 17th October 2017
Arrive back London - Time to be confirmed
