Introduction to Fundraising at St Luke's
Every year, we need to raise over £2.6m in order to keep the hospice in business and with less than a third of that money coming from the Government, we have a lot of work to do.
There are so many ways in which our community helps us to raise the money we need and every year new ideas, new trusts, new events, new companies, and new volunteers help us to achieve our goals.
Every gift that we receive, both large and small, be it financial or in kind, allows our patients and their families to get the support they need at a very difficult time in their lives. Every penny you give really does count.
We hope this section of the site will give you plenty of ideas but if you would like to contact us, we would love to hear from you…you really can make a huge difference.
Community Groups
St Luke's relies heavily on support and contributions from local community groups such as churches, rotary clubs, scouts and guides, fire brigades, round table, Masonic lodges and faith groups.
Last year alone, fundraising within our community raised an amazing £1.6m and every year the amount of people wanting to support our works continues to grow. If you are a member of any local group who would like more information on supporting the work of the hospice, be it through financial donations, or man power/ expertise please contact us and we can give you lots of advice on getting involved no matter how large or small the ‘donation’.
