St Luke's works in cooperation with many schools in the local area and the support they provide can be a huge boost not only to our fundraising but to the knowledge people have about us in the community.
St Luke's also recognises the important role schools play within our community and through partnerships with several local schools has provided:
- work experience placements for year 10 pupils
- projects as part of citizenship programmes
- talks for assemblies
- workshops for children to learn about the work of the hospice

A to Z of Fundraising
I am a pupil
If you are raising money for St Luke's here's a useful list of tips to make sure your event runs smoothly ...
- Always give yourself plenty of time to organise your fundraising activity
- Break down the project into a sequence of bite size tasks and then put them together in a step-by-step timetable that takes you up to the big day
- Keep a simple diary, use a calendar or draw a chart, so you can keep track of what you are doing and how much you are raising
- Use common sense to allocate your time according to the size and importance of each task - designing a banner obviously should not take as much time as finding sponsors
- Never take on too much work and remember, always respect other responsibilities. One way to make your job easier would be to work as part of a team
