Information for Patients

St Luke's looks after people whose illnesses are no longer curable. We aim to enable them to achieve the best possible quality of life during the final stages of their illness. the care we offer includes the treatment of physical symptoms, but also extends to consider the emotional, pychological, spiritual and social needs of our patients.

St Luke's recognises that coming to terms with a serious illness can be difficult and distressing. Everyone in the family can be affected, so Hospice Care also embraces families and friends by supporting them through the illness and into bereavement. At St Luke's there is always someone willing to offer the best treatment or sit down and listen, talk and ease painful feelings. Click here for more information about family support.

St Luke's offers free hospice care, either in the hospice through our Day Care and In Patient units, or in their own homes through our Hospice at Home and Community Palliative Care teams.
