Whilst there are many ways for you to give your time and skills to St Luke’s, our greatest need is for Volunteers to work within one of our shops to help generate vital income.Other roles involve working alongside specialist staff bringing an extra dimension to the culture and atmosphere within St Luke’s.

| St Luke’s Hospice Shops Our 13 shops are all located on the High street with good transport links. Shop volunteer role description We especially need help in the afternoons, the shifts are divided into an AM Shift which is 9 to 1pm and a PM shift is 1 to 5pm. |
| Majority of the shifts are to support Managers in the sorting area. We need urgent help in our Preston Road and Kenton Shops. | Event Support Volunteers : Each year volunteers get involved with major events like our annual Midnight Walk. If you can help us man a stall, support our events through covering duties such as marshalling, parking, registration, raffle selling we would like to hear from you. Please have a look at our events for this year or register here to become part of our events team. St Luke's Collection Team: We have a number of opportunites for organised, enthusiastic people who like talking to people and building relationships with the community to help develop this vital income stream. This is an enjoyable role which involves working as part of a team and interacting wiht the public and other volunteers. We are looking for Store and community collectors; Shop and Community box collectors; Home box coordinators St Luke's Ambassadors Being a community ambassador is stimulating a varied role for people who like building relationships, have good community contacts, and who are able to talk enthusiastically and knowledgably about St Luke's to groups of people. People with second langauge are very welcome. Training will be provided. |

| Volunteer Gardeners: We are always looking for extra help, and invite any volunteer candidates who show a preference for gardening to come and see the garden and meet the rest of the team. Commitment times vary. General Duties Volunteer: NEW ROLE We are looking for volunteers to support the our maintenance teams. Some of the duties involved will be ensurign the Hospice grounds are tidy, supporting Hospice fundraising events; to support the maintenance manager with simple " DIY tasks" .
