ST LUKE'S SHOPS CELEBRATE SILVER!
Our shops celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2012 with their most profitable year ever, raising over £805K and involving over 600 volunteers. In 1991 St Luke's first, temporary, charity shop opened on the corner of Nibthwaite Road in Harrow, later moving to a permanent site in Station Road.
Since then the company has gone from strength to strength and unveiled their 13th shop on Preston Road in July 2011.
The then Managing Director of St Luke's Charity Shops, Hilary Berry said, 'I would like to say a big thank you to all our customers, donors and volunteers who have supported St Luke's shops by donating or purchasing goods or giving up their time to work in our shops. It is with their support that we can raise vital funds for St Luke's to provide free end of life care and services in the community. We always welcome your donations and any of your unwanted gifts.'
As well as selling high quality clothes, books, household items and bric-a-brac at reasonable prices, our shops have developed specialist outlets for items like furniture and electrical goods.
