Gardener

PURPOSE

To create a calm, restful, aesthetically pleasing garden environment where patients, their relatives and carers can relax.

NATURE AND SCOPE

To achieve this purpose, the volunteer will work as part of a team under the auspices of a volunteer head gardener.

Duties may include:

1.    Preparing ground for planting and fertilising.

2.    Planting bedding plants and preparing tubs in Spring/Autumn

3.    Cutting the lawn.

4.    Pruning shrubs and caring for flowers.

5.    Clearing paths and patio areas.

6.    Care and maintenance of garden tools

7.    Maintenance of garden shed, fences, pergolas and benches where appropriate.

8.    Maintenance of front of house paths and car park.
