This is a special part of the St Luke's Hospice website which is maintained by the Walks Committee. It will be used for up-to-date information about our sponsored walks, training walks and walks arranged at other times of the year.

Fundraise........ for your local hospice, to help the people whose illness needs the excellent care that St. Luke’s can provide. You can make a difference.
For the past 14 years St. Luke’s Hospice has organised an annual sponsored walk and on average over £60,000 each year has been raised by walkers. This significant annual amount has gone a good way towards the maintenance of invaluable clinical services for our patients.
This year...
The 2010 walk was along the Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness, from 29 May to 4 June. A bit late (blame it on getting in the sponsorship, planning next year, and having a holiday!) here is an Illustrated review.
Next year...
Our walk in 2011 will be along parts of the Shropshire Way from 28 April to 2 May. Plans are being actively developed, as is our Shropshire Way web page.
In some previous years we have put on a one-day organised walk in the autumn. It won't be happening this year. But the New Year's Day walk certainly will be.
For some people, the challenge of walking 82 miles in five days is as nothing compared with something new, like getting several hundred pounds of sponsorship. But you will be surprised how easy it really is! St Luke's serves around 600 patients annually, so that each year there are that number of extended families who come to appreciate the value of what the hospice does, in the most direct way. St Luke's may well be the best-known charity in this part of London. Some very practical tips.
