Family raise £4000 for St Luke’s in memory of mother
A charity Mehfil night was held at Oakington Manor School in Wembley to commemorate the anniversary of Rashmi Dhiren Patel’s passing. Rashmi was cared for by St Luke’s Hospice and her daughter, Trisha, son, Shrinit, daughter inlaw, Piya and husband, Dhiren Patel organised a charity night in her honour. The event took place on Saturday 29 August and was filled with live music and food. It is with the support of the family and friends that a tremendous £4000 was raised for St Luke’s Hospice.
Stanmore resident, Dhiren Patel says, ‘The family and I would like to thank everyone who helped make the Mehfil night a success and those that donated raffle prizes and money. Food was donated by Mary Dsouza which was a great help and appreciated greatly.
Over the last 10 years our family have been raising money for St Luke’s. They miss Rashmi very much and were very happy in the way St Luke’s cared and supported her when she was at St Luke’s. As a family we would like to thank St Luke’s for doing a wonderful job.’
