Local temple donate £35,000 to hospice
The Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple in Kenton celebrated 50 years of establishment in the UK which commenced on Christmas Day and culminated on New Year's Day. To lead up to the celebrations, events had been organised and funds were raised for St Luke's, Harrow Mencap, Ashiana and earthquake effected Nepal.
St Luke’s were presented with a generous cheque of £35,000 on 31 December. This outstanding donation will help replace the beds in the hospice’s In-Patient Unit, enabling our patients to feel as comfortable as possible during their stay. St Luke’s has a 12-bedded In-Patient Unit which provides 24-hour nursing and medical care to help control our patients’ physical symptoms, emotional or family support, respite, a mixture of these, or sometimes care at the very end of life.
St Luke’s would like to thank the Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple for their support.
