Students donate loose change to St Luke’s

Heathland Whitefriars Federation chose St Luke’s as their charity of the year for the academic year of 2014/2015. The joint school council for Whitefriars School and Heathland School organised a fundraising initiative where a collection pot was put into each of their classes and students were encouraged to put their loose change into the pot. Whitefriars School raised £700.

Learning Mentor at Whitefriars School, Leigh Pay says, ‘The children were very enthusiastic about bringing in their change for St Luke's. To help motivate them the class that raised the most money were rewarded with an ice cream each! St Luke's is a local charity that has supported many families within the Heathland Whitefriars community.’
