Golf Day raises over £12,000 for St Luke’s!
17 teams enjoyed a great game of golf in the stunning surroundings of Moor Park Mansion in an effort to raise vital funds for their local hospice on Monday 17 July. Golfers enjoyed a light breakfast before playing on the famous championship high course. The evening was topped off with a delicious 3-course meal and great live entertainment.
Competitions ran throughout the day and prizes were awarded to the top three teams.
One of the golfers, Lord Peter Saunders says, “Thank you to everyone involved in yesterday's most fantastic golf day. The golf, food, weather and all round service were for want of a better word ‘perfect’ and I just wanted to thank St Luke’s for organising a wonderful event.”
St Luke’s Golf Day organiser, Aneka Shah says, ‘We would like to thank all the teams who took part in our Golf Day event. I would also like to give a special thanks to the team at Moor Park for letting us host the event, our dedicated team of volunteers who supported us on the day and to Origin for sponsoring part of the event.
£12,000 is a magnificent amount raised for the hospice as it could fund almost a month’s stay for a patient in our In Patient Unit, providing the patient with 24-hour nursing and medical care support.’
