Team of 20 will be dashing around Pinner dressed as Santa!
Long-time St Luke’s supporter Angela Egan and 20 of her friends will be gathering to dash 3 miles around Pinner for St Luke’s Hospice’s annual Santa Dash on Sunday 10 December. The team consists of people aged from 18 – 50, who all have personal connections to the hospice.
Angela was first introduced to St Luke’s when her husband was being cared at the original St Luke’s location at Harrow View, and has taken part in the Santa Dash with her team ‘Away with the Fairies’ since the first annual event in 2009. Since starting the event she and her team have collectively raised over £16,000 for the Hospice. Angela says ‘Some of my friends from Ireland visit for it! There’s usually a group of 20 of us taking part. It’s a good day out; we enjoy it and make some money for the hospice.’ After the event Angela told us that she and her team like to go for a meal and do a collection to help raise more money.
Join Angela and her team on Sunday 10 December to run, walk or jog from Nower Hill High School in St Luke’s Hospice’s Santa Dash. Sign up now and take advantage of the early bird until Friday 10 November; just £12 for adults and £7 for under 10s. All participants will receive a santa suit to run in and a medal and mince pie on completion.
