Midnight Walk 2019
Over 1,000 women participated in our annual Midnight Walk on Friday, 28th June.
The fantastic participants on their 5 or 9 mile walk around Harrow and Brent raised an incredible amount of funds for St Luke’s.
Participants came together from all communities, backgrounds, abilities and ages to take part in the specially coordinated walk.
This year, the Bollywood and Hollywood themed walk welcomed fundraisers on a red carpet and had women’s groups dressed in tinsel town bling and dancing to both old and latest Bollywood hits prior to the walk. Building up to midnight the fundraisers were entertained by Dhol drummers, and joined in lively dance routines, making the event a night to remember.
Participants came together from all communities, backgrounds, abilities and ages to take part in the specially coordinated walk .
The annual walk first started in 2008 and has been growing year on year ever since.
Our thanks to over 180 volunteers from across ethnicities, community groups, and youth clubs who made this event possible, including the marshals who were up all night to keep the participants safe. This walk plays a key role in bringing communities together for a local cause.
