Contract: Permanent contract – 37.5hrs per week (7 day rota)

Salary: £23,303

Location: Waverley Industrial Park, Unit 7, Hailsham Drive, Harrow, HA1 4TR

Our local community is a vital partner in our care, kindly supporting us through their donations and fundraising alongside the dedication of over 800 incredible volunteers who freely give us their time to support the best possible end of life care for local people.

Job Purpose and scope

As an Assistant Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager with the Store’s day-to-day responsibilities. You will do so by taking on managerial tasks such as overseeing volunteers, modelling effective leadership and offering excellent customer service. A primary responsibility of an Assistant Manager is to ensure the store runs just as effectively without the store manager.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the shop in the Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards for our customers and volunteers.
  • Oversee donations, pricing, and merchandise display to maximise sales.
  • Support and empower our incredible team of volunteers.
  • Flexibility to assist in other shop locations and duties as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

It is essential that you have the flexibility to work over 7 days and occasionally at different locations.
