Stay in the heart of Exmoor

Lying in the heart of the Exmoor National Park in the village of Selworthy, stands historic Holnicote House. Managed by HF Holidays and recently refurbished, it is popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts due to its enviable location, peaceful gardens and outdoor pool.

We will stay for 3 nights (4 days of walking) from Saturday 23 to Tuesday 26 May 2020.

A selection of single, double or twin rooms are available (all of which are en-suite).

Coleridge Way

We will follow in the footsteps of poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge through the beautiful countryside that inspired him along the 51 mile Coleridge Way. You will experience the
tranquil beauty of the Quantock Hills, the Brendon Hills and Exmoor National Park.
The walk enjoys a scenic mixture of rolling farmland, heather moorland, ancient oak woodland and deep secluded valleys. Highlights along the route include the impressive Stowey Castle and the fabulous views from Lype Hill, the highest point on the trail.

Choose your distance

Each day there will be a choice of walking distances to suit your ability:

  • Up to 18 miles daily (full distance)
  • 6-12 miles daily (shorter distance)

You will be free to find the route yourself or stick with some of our experienced walkers, all of whom are friendly and welcoming.

Walking Club

Our Walking Club is a great way to train for your challenge, stay fit and healthy and meet a group of like-minded individuals. Each walk is led by a friendly volunteer who will guide you on walks in various locations, covering different terrains. For details of our popular Autumn walks and all upcoming walk dates, please click here.

Fees

Prices start from just £300 for your 3 night stay, including full board (with delicious freshly cooked meals), 4 days of planned walking, transport and maps.

Raising sponsorship

Your event fee only covers the cost of the walk so we ask that all our walkers raise a minimum of £350 in sponsorship. The money raised will help St Luke’s Hospice care for people at the end of their lives in Harrow and Brent, giving them the best possible quality of life.

Find out more

Join us on Thursday 24th October at St Cuthbert’s Church (HA0 3QY) from 7pm to find out more about the challenge and speak to other walkers.
