Principles of palliative care module

This module is for nurses and allied health professionals working with end of life patients. It aims to increase knowledge of End of Life care through a holistic and multi-professional approach. The module consists of a taught registration and study skills afternoon and 6 taught study days and assessment is a 3,000 word case study assignment. The module accredited by University of West London and upon successful completion learners are award 20 academic degree credits.

Study Days will be delivered virtually using the Microsoft Teams platform as well as face to face and will provide an interactive and stimulating learning environment.

• Assessment and Symptom Management 
• Communication skills and Multidisciplinary working 
• Loss, Grief and Bereavement 
• Legal and Ethical Issues
