For every £25 you donate, you will give an hour of practical and dignified nursing care to the people being supported in St Luke’s inpatient unit. Your gift will help manage people’s pain, ensure all their needs are met and give them precious time with their families whilst their medical needs are taken care of.

Help fill St Luke’s Hospice with messages of hope
Some of our incredible volunteers have been busy knitting hearts that have been gifted to our patients and their loved ones to help bring families together who’ve been separated due to coronavirus. These hearts continue to give people great comfort.
We thought this was such a lovely idea that we want to fill the hospice with lots of hearts of hope this summer. Simply send us your message of hope when completing your donation and we will add this onto a heart and proudly display it at the hospice for our patients, volunteers and staff to see.

Kenny’s story
“When my husband came into St Luke’s inpatient unit for the third time, he wasn’t in great health; he was struggling to eat and breathe and was virtually bedbound. It was really hard.
All of the St Luke’s nurses and doctors were fantastic. The way they handled his care and support, including supporting us as a family, really touched our hearts.
The staff helped in every way and were always so gentle and caring. Even when he was so sick and despite the pandemic, we were allowed to see him. This felt really nice, and this was important to Kenny and our family.
Beautiful knitted hearts were given to Kenny, me, our son and daughter and grandchildren. The hearts were a special sentimental memento that kept our family bonded together during difficult times. Kenny died peacefully at the hospice and I couldn’t ask for anything more.”
