Superstore Shop Manager (New Waverley Store)

Contract: Permanent contract 37.5 hours per week (flexible 6/7 day rota)

Salary: £26,267 per annum

Location: Waverley Industrial Park, Harrow (covering other hospice shops ad hoc if needed)

Job Purpose and scope

The Manager of St Luke’s Hospice Waverley Superstore Charity Shop is responsible for the overall management of the charity shop. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring it is properly staffed, and overseeing the inventory and financial management of the shop.

The Manager is also responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with customers, donors, and volunteers, and ensuring that the shop is meeting its financial and fundraising goals to support the work of St Luke’s Hospice.

Main Duties

Plan and organise events and promotions to increase footfall and awareness of the shop

Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and achieve fundraising goals

Maintain accurate financial records and manage the shop’s budget to ensure profitability

Opening and closing the shop, and ensuring that the advertised trading hours are adhered to.

Ensuring that the shop premises are clean and tidy and that Health and Safety regulations are observed.

Encouraging and accepting donated goods for sale.
