Supporting St Luke’s Hospice will open the gateway to new audiences, develop your staff, demonstrate corporate social responsibility and give you the edge against your competitors. We offer a wide range of opportunities for companies to become involved with the Hospice, which can be tailor made to your needs. No matter how big or small your company there are many ways in which we can work together.
Here are just a few suggestions:
Organise your own event
Organising an event at work is a great way to build team spirit and do something great for a local cause. We've had all sorts of events organised for the hospice including simple coffee mornings, extravagent balls, indoor picnics and even super hero dress up days! Whatever your idea we'll be able to support you and provide you with materials to make the most of your fundraising.
Take part in an event
Get together a staff team for one of our hospice events and have fun training together or competing against each other on one of our challenges. From mud runs, cycle rides to Midnight Walks there is a challenge for all abilities and groups. If your company offers 'matched giving' the funds you raise can go even further and help even more people.
Sponsor an event
Sponsor one of our events, and share the publicity it receives giving you access to potential clients and highlighting your support of the hospice. Recent sponsors include St George's Shopping Centre, Karuna Manor, Lewis Golden & Co, and Lawrence Grant and you can find out more about our sponsorship opportunities by contacting using the details at the bottom of this page.
Karuna Manor, based in Christchurch Avenue, donated £10,000 to support the communications work of St Luke’s in 2015. This amazing contribution will go towards leaflets, publications to enable us to reach more people in the community.
"We are delighted to sponsor the good work achieved by our friends at St Luke’s Hospice. St Luke’s exemplifies the respect, care and understanding that we feel is essential in providing excellent care to the community. Opening in February 2015, Karuna Manor specialises in 24 hour residential, convalescence, nursing and dementia care." Mandira Bhimjiyani, Community Development Manager for Karuna Manor
Volunteer your time
There are a range of ways your company can volunteer their time to support the hospice and promote good team working. From helping wrap christmas presents for donations at our local shopping centres, marshalling at our events to helping at DIY projects at the hospice there are lots of ways your team can get involved and make a difference.
Charity of the year
Adopt St Luke’s as your Charity of the Year and we will tailor a calendar of events and activities that meet your companies objectives. Choosing a Charity of the Year will help engage employees and build enthusiasm within your company.
Offering payroll giving is one of the easiest ways to support St Luke’s. Donations are deducted from employees pay, before tax. This means that it costs less to support us, for example, a £10 donation to St Luke’s will cost you £8. Speak to your payroll or HR team at work to see if they already offer payroll giving and to find out how you can start donating.
