The government recognises a funding crisis in end of life care. St Luke’s was featured in a national ITV News report into hospice funding.
St Luke’s Hospice is planning cuts by the end of 2019 to ensure our specialist core services can continue. We are spending more than our income and the situation cannot go on as it is.
We are facing increased financial pressure. Only a third of the cost of our care is funded by the NHS with the remainder from grants and the generosity of local people like you.
Last year, it was only because of the generosity of our local community, 1628 people in Harrow and Brent received expert care delivered with compassion and dignity.
Two thirds of this care was given to people in the comfort of their own homes.
