Earlier this year Brent Council had shared plans to build an overlooking two storey development very close to our in-patient unit.
Your actions in writing to the Council and sharing our petition made them think again and the plans were put on hold.
Over 9,100 people signed the petition and wrote to councillors and MPs.
In August, Brent Council met with our Senior Leadership team to talk through a new, vastly scaled back plan to build at a much more appropriate distance.
This is a huge breakthrough!
Thank you for safeguarding our in-patient unit and protect patient care.
We provided a few suggestions to the Council about the draft plans which they have promised to consider. Brent Council will submit final plans in the next few weeks.
Thanks to all those who supported the campaign, it looks very likely that there will be a much smaller development that won’t extend beyond the building (Clock Cottage) that is currently on the site.
We used up vital energy and resources intended for supporting end of life care, in opposing the proposals by Brent Council. Please help by donating towards protecting patients.
