We are pleased to share that we have raised enough donations to fund 12 new specialist riser recliner chairs for our inpatient unit. Many of our patients should be sitting upright in a chair for a few hours a day because sitting on a regular chair can exert a lot of pressure on their bones and cause painful skin damage. Thanks to the generosity of local people, we will be buying new specialist chairs raised from our More Than A Chair appeal, helping to reduce the risk of painful pressure sores and giving our patients the best comfort.
St Luke’s rely on your generosity to provide 24 hour compassionate and dignified care in our inpatient unit and would be grateful for your donation, however much, by completing the form below. The riser recliner chair in my room is amazing. It’s easy for me to get up, sit, recline, rest and relax on this chair. The Hospice is an amazing place. I’ve enjoyed my stay. It’s lovely to have all the gardens and greenery to look out at from my room.
My deepest gratitude goes to the entire staff at St Luke’s Hospice. They have excelled in the treatment of looking after me. I needed a holiday and this was the next best thing to being on holiday.
