Community Palliative Care Nurse (Internal Secondment)

Contract: Secondment until September 2026 / 37.5 hours per week

Hours of work: The post holder will be expected to work as part of a provision of a 7-day service and will be expected to work as part of an 8am-8pm rota as part of service development in line with the NWL ICB New Model of Care.

Salary: £37,182.84 – £44,774.47 plus London allowance depending on experience

Location: HA3 0YG

About the opportunity

The Brent Community Team is offering a time-limited secondment opportunity for an internal colleague to undertake the role of Community Palliative Care Nurse.

This secondment is intended as a professional development opportunity. While some aspects of the role may be new, appropriate support will be provided by the Brent Community Clinical Nurse Specialist Palliative Care Team Lead and the wider team.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a colleague who demonstrates:

The ability to work effectively as part of a team and wider multidisciplinary team (MDT)

A willingness to develop knowledge and skills within community palliative care

Confidence to work independently in the community, with an understanding of when to escalate more complex issues
