Bank Senior Family Support Worker
Contract: Bank / As-and-when required
Salary: £18.71 per hour

St Luke’s Hospice is seeking an experienced Bank Senior Family Support Worker to join our dedicated Patient and Family Support Service on a bank (ad hoc) basis.
You will work as part of our multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist psychosocial support to patients, families and carers, helping to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out holistic psychosocial assessments and develop personalised care plans.
- Support patients and carers with wellbeing, independence, and choice.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and manage risk.
- Anticipate and support bereavement needs, including referrals.
- Provide guidance to colleagues and contribute to the development of others.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service quality.
About you:
- Qualified in social care (minimum diploma level).
- Experienced in person-centred interventions and adult safeguarding.
- Skilled at working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Confident using IT systems.
- Car owner/driver.
Desirable: Experience in a hospice or palliative care setting, and use of patient information systems.
This is a flexible, as-and-when the Hospice requires role – ideal if you are looking to make a meaningful contribution alongside other commitments.
