Contract: Permanent Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Circa £60,000 – £70,000 depending on skills and experience

St Luke’s Hospice is an established charity delivering compassionate care and services for all those approaching the end of their life in the London Boroughs of Harrow and Brent. With over 200 staff and 500 volunteers, the charity has an inpatient unit, provides a range of Home Care services with a specialist community team, offers a 24 hour support helpline, and has 17 retail outlets which supports broader fundraising activities. After a challenging CQC review in 2021, the organisation has successfully undergone a turnaround and they are now commencing a period of transformation to modernise for a prosperous future.
The Role
The post holder leads the Hospice’s Retail division with accountability to develop and lead the strategic direction and sales performance for Retail, Ecommerce, Operations, Distribution & Logistics for St Luke’s
Hospice.
To maximise contribution for the charity through the multi-channel business that operates shops and Ecommerce by leading and empowering employees and volunteers, driving sales and profit growth through donated stock and gift aid, managing costs and working cross-functionally in unison with Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team.
The Successful Candidate
- Proven experience in a senior multi-site retail management role, with a strong track record achieving sales targets and managing operations.
- High evidence in Leadership, Team and Organisation Change.
- Highly commerical with strong P&L, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrable experience accelerating sales and profit turnaround.
- High experience in implementing new and transformational projects and process improvements working in a way to gain high buy in and adoption.
- High and mobile presence across all stores.
- Strong commercial and visual merchandising capabilities.
