Join a close-knit team where your skills directly support compassionate hospice care — working alongside fellow technicians, the Head of Estates, and Facilities Coordination to keep our environment safe, welcoming, and running smoothly for patients, families, and staff.

Are you a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician looking for a role where your work truly makes a difference?

St Luke’s Hospice is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our Estates and Facilities team, working closely with another technician, the Head of Estates & Operations, and the Facilities Coordinator to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-functioning environment across our Hospice, shops, warehouse, and associated sites.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on approach who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in delivering high standards of maintenance and customer service.

Be the ‘on-call’ maintenance team member outside of office hours, weekends and bank holidays as mutually agreed on the rota with other members of the maintenance team, for all Hospice settings including Hospice, Shops and Warehouse.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within a maintenance, facilities, or building services role.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
  • Flexible and reliable approach, including participation in the on-call rota.

Why Join St Luke’s Hospice?

At St Luke’s, every role contributes to delivering compassionate care and support to our community. By joining our Estates & Facilities team, you’ll play an essential part in creating a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for everyone who uses our services.
