Local trust donation buys hoist and slings
We’re pleased to share that last month we received a generous grant of £16,300 from a local charitable trust.
This funding allowed us to purchase a replacement hoist and slings for use in the In-Patient Unit (IPU), and we’re happy to report that the new equipment is now in place.
The hoist is essential for safely transferring patients to the bathroom or into a chair, helping them get out of bed with comfort and dignity.
The NHS only funds 30% of the cost of our care. It is only because of local generosity that specialist end of life care continues to be made possible at the hospice and in people’s homes.
