Caring for People in Harrow & Brent

St Luke’s Creates An Exciting New Shopping Experience For Supporters In The Heart Of Harrow!

With 16 well-loved charity shops across Harrow & Brent, supporters of the Hospice will already know how both shopping in and donating to them helps provide amazing, free care to those at the end of their life or with a terminal illness. Now, St Luke’s has made it even easier for customers to do both with the launch of an exciting new Donation Centre & Superstore right in the heart of Harrow, opening on August 14th. A one stop shop for all things pre-loved, the centre is destined to become a firm favourite with those wishing to help the caring charity and  bargain hunters alike.

Conveniently located in Waverley, behind Harrow Crown Court, the centre offers fully accessible hassle-free visits, thanks to the availability of free parking right outside. Anyone wishing to give items of any size, including good quality furniture, can drop off donations seven days a week. Giving the option of shopping while there, supporters will also be able to browse through the departments of an exciting new superstore. A brand new shopping experience, the store will be home to a wonderful range of pre-loved clothing, accessories, furniture, toys, vintage, collectibles, and many other exciting items.

Shoppers will also be able to see first-hand the fantastic items currently on sale in St Luke’s eBay store. They will be beautifully displayed and ready to explore. Those preferring to save on postage, are also welcome to pick up purchases directly from the store.

St Luke’s plans to create a thriving community hub where knowledge and skills are shared among the people of Harrow and Brent. There are exciting plans to host events and workshops which will focus on sustainability, designed to benefit and engage the local community and we will be sharing more details soon.

Proceeds from the new Donation Centre & Superstore will go straight back to the community as all residents are entitled to the excellent, free care provided by St Luke’s should they become terminally ill or need end of life care.

Mos Pracdel, the husband of a patient who very sadly lost her life to cancer, explains why this care is so vital, “Poppy was everything in my life and losing her shattered my world, but my lasting memory of the last few days of her life are thanks to the wonderful care that she got from everyone at St Luke’s. I will always have a somehow happy memory. I will cherish the last few days of her life, clearly not because of the experience itself, but because of the way that the wonderful staff looked after her. That will always stay with me.”

To help more patients like Poppy and enjoy a great shopping experience along the way, from August 14th you can visit the new Centre at Unit 7, Waverley Industrial Park, Hailsham Drive, HA1 4TR. St Luke’s looks forward to welcoming you!
