St Luke’s Hospice gets £35K IT upgrade funding from Middlesex Freemasons

St Luke’s Hospice is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a £35,000 grant from the Middlesex Freemasons via the Middlesex Province Relief Fund to support vital improvements across the organisation.

The grant will pay for IT upgrades to help St Luke’s clinical teams spend more time caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families.

By improving how patient information is accessed and shared, both at the Hospice and during home visits, it will reduce paperwork and improve communication.

This will be achieved through new software, system upgrades and laptops for staff.

A particularly important aspect is real time data collection, allowing for faster adjustments to treatment plans and quicker responses to patient needs.

Lindsay Bennister, Chief Executive of St Luke’s Hospice, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Middlesex Freemasons for this generous grant. St Luke’s relies largely on donations to fund the majority of our services, and this support will make a real difference. These improvements will help our teams work more efficiently, so we can focus on making every moment matter for the local people and families who need us most.”

Hugh Saville, Chairman for the Middlesex Province Relief Fund, said: “Middlesex Freemasons are proud to continue our support for St Luke’s Hospice, and are inspired by the impact these important technology upgrades will make. The Hospice’s dedication to caring for patients and their loved ones is extraordinary.”

This funding through local generosity will ensure St Luke’s can continue to deliver expert, compassionate care for people in Harrow and Brent now and in the future.
