Ben gets experience by volunteering at St Luke’s
Ben volunteers two days a week in St Luke’s HR department, developing his skills and laying the groundwork for a future career in human resources.
He is one of around 450 volunteers who give their time and skills to support St Luke’s across Harrow and Brent — from our shops and fundraising events to our clinical and office teams.
“I’m getting valuable HR work experience by learning new skills and knowledge from a team of highly experienced HR professionals, which is providing me with a strong platform to progress in a career in HR,” says Ben.
By volunteering at St Luke’s, Ben is not only gaining hands-on experience but also adding valuable skills to his CV — building confidence and connections for his future career.
St Luke’s couldn’t do what we do — providing supportive care for people and their families in Harrow and Brent — without the help of our volunteers. They are the backbone of our organisation.
