St Luke’s Hospice seeks Trustees and Non-Executive Directors to shape its future
St Luke’s Hospice is looking for new Trustees and Shops Board Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the future of end of life care for people in Harrow and Brent.
The voluntary roles are part-time, involving attendance at Board and Committee meetings. Applications close at 9am on Monday, 28 July 2025.
Founded in 1987, St Luke’s Hospice provides free, expert care and support for people approaching the end of their life, both in the community and at its beautiful Kenton Grange building. Two-thirds of care is delivered in people’s homes, with specialist teams helping to manage complex needs and supporting patients to stay at home where possible.
St Luke’s care is available to all, respecting the cultures, religions and beliefs of the area’s diverse community. Around 30% of funding comes from the NHS, with the remainder raised through community generosity and the work of its charity shops.
The Hospice’s charity retail arm, St Luke’s Hospice Charity Shops (Harrow & Brent) Ltd, operates 16 shops, an online eBay store, and a warehouse and donation centre. Together, the shops generate vital funds to support hospice services, with the help of 50 staff and around 400 volunteers.
St Luke’s is seeking Trustees and Shops Board NEDs with experience in the following areas:
- Estates development, management and maintenance – Trustee role
- Commercial Property Management – Shops Board NED
- Marketing/Digital – Shops Board NED
These voluntary positions offer a unique opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues and contribute to decisions that directly impact local patients and families.
“This is an exciting and deeply rewarding opportunity,” said Meg Lustman, St Luke’s Chair of Trustees. “Your contribution will help ensure we continue providing the best possible end of life care for our community.”
